Regardless of your listing price, one of the fastest and easiest improvements you can make to your kitchen is to stage the counters.
When preparing your home for sale, keep in mind that the kitchen is one of the most important rooms to potential buyers. Buyers are looking for a kitchen that is spacious, clean, functional, and with as many updated features as possible.
A good way to start is to remove everything from your counters.
Store paper towels and cleaning products in a cabinet. You don’t want them left on the counter.
Clean like you have never cleaned before.
Next add some color and interest in strategic areas. Step back and determine where color is needed. Take a few pictures to get a better idea of what area needs a little something. A large item to fill the corner, for instance. Pottery and cookbooks are good choices. One to three items per section of counter is a good balance. You want to keep it simple and uncluttered. Flowers and fruit are great in the kitchen, but you must keep them fresh.
Take the time to prepare and present your kitchen so that potential buyers will find it more visually and emotionally appealing!
